Walking With Dinosaurs Ep1 - New Blood (part2 of 3)
Disclaimer: I do not own this title. It rightfully belongs to the BBC. If you enjoy viewing this program, BUY IT. It is well worth the small investment.
The End Permian Biotic Crisis devastated life on earth. The resulting ecological vacuum allowed surviving groups of plants and animals to undergo an unimpeded adaptive radiation. However, it took at least 5 million years to re-establish diversity even approaching pre-extinction levels.
Within 20 million years, by the Mid-Triassic, the first dinosaurs had arrived on the scene. The cynodonts, survivors of the Permian extinctions, would soon give rise to mammals.
Most of this vid recounts events during the Late Triassic (220 million years ago) in what is today Arizona, U.S.A., with Coelophysis and cynodonts representing the shape of things to come.
This vid split very nicely. Very coherent and not a frame missing.
